French Fashion Show

French: I can learn vocabulary relating to clothing; I can speak in French with more accurate pronunciation

Today we showcased our learning in French by having our fashion show. We strutted our stuff around the classroom while a classmate read our scripts for us. We worked with Ms Elder earlier this week to mark our scripts together, then during the fashion show, Ms Elder marked our pronunciation of the vocabulary we've been practicing. Our marks will go home on Monday.

Many kids said it was so much fun to see the creativity in outfits and to model for the class. :)

We learned lots of clothing vocabulary words. We also learned how the French language has gendered items and you need to change the gender of the colour (ex: bleu -> bleue if the object is feminine). The same for plural words (more than one), where you add an 's'.

We continued our pronunciation work that we started at Halloween. We know that words that end in an 's' or 't' have silent letters. You hear them if there's an 'e' after the 's' or 't'.
